  • Story

I spent a beautiful week with my family in the countryside every year. We book a cosy cottage what suits for everyone, with a nice view overlooking at a countryside. We hike most of the days and exploring the wonderful natural beauties which surrounding us from Cornwall to Scotland and Pembrokeshire to Norfolk. The nature always impresses me. When I go home, I feel an urge to capture a piece of the foxgloves sway everywhere in the hills of Wales. My hobby as a beekeeper also inspired me to look the nature form a different angle and I have the opportunity to observe how bees collect nectars from wildflowers. It is mesmerising to see the bees get into the foxgloves chalice or when they land on the dandelion and their feet turn yellow from the pollen. I capture my experiences with one of the most ancient textile techniques, sawing and needle felting in my textile work with the use of natural material.
